Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 28, 2026 · Pinggg by SunXperience.
This policy explains how Pinggg (“Pinggg”, “we”), operated by SunXperience, handles information in the Pinggg iPhone app and on this site. Pinggg minimises what it collects. We do not require a phone number, email, or username, and we do not sell personal data.
Information we process
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Device-generated identifiers (private Pinggg ID) | Route Pinggg requests and messages between consented contacts. Never publicly searchable. |
| Display name, avatar, optional Snapchat link | So accepted contacts recognise you. All optional and user-set. |
| Bluetooth proximity signals; QR scans | Detect nearby users and confirm the right person in person. Identity isn't revealed before mutual consent. |
| Messages, photos/videos, voice notes, location pins | Deliver your conversations to accepted contacts. |
| Optional precise location & heading | Only when you turn on location sharing for a specific group or convoy, or when you use a location feature. Off by default. |
| Event code / role | Scope discovery to an event you join. |
| Sign-up details you submit on this site (name, email, phone) | To send product updates you request. Stored in our own database; not sold or used for ads. |
| Safety reports | Operate moderation and keep the community safe. |
We do not use third-party advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking, and we do not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track you across other apps.
How data is stored
Most app data is stored on your device. When online messaging is enabled, messages and optional presence are processed by our relay to deliver them to accepted contacts. The current build does not provide end-to-end encryption; we recommend not sharing sensitive information until then.
Sharing
We share content only with the accepted contacts you choose, and use Apple Push Notification service to deliver notifications. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information where required by law.
Location data
Location data. Pinggg collects your device's precise location only when you turn on location sharing for a specific group or convoy. Sharing is off by default and fully under your control via in-app toggles ("Share with this group" and "Keep sharing in background").
Background use. If you enable background sharing, Pinggg continues to update your location while the app is in the background so your group's live map stays current while members travel toward one another. This is core to the Follow/convoy feature.
Who sees it. Your live location is visible only to accepted members of the specific group you share with. Pinggg does not publish your location publicly, does not provide a searchable directory, and connections are made only in person (Bluetooth approval or in-person QR).
Retention & control. You can stop sharing at any time; live location is not retained after a session ends beyond what is needed to operate the feature. We do not sell location data.
Retention & your rights
On-device data persists until you delete it or your account. Control your profile, discoverability, and optional location in-app; block or report anytime; and delete your account and data in-app (see Delete your account). Contact [email protected] to exercise applicable rights.
International & Saudi Arabia (PDPL)
Where laws such as Saudi Arabia's PDPL apply, we process personal data on lawful bases including consent, support data-subject rights, and apply appropriate safeguards to cross-border transfers.
Children & changes
Pinggg is intended for adults and not directed to children. We may update this policy; material changes appear here with a new date.
Effective June 28, 2026. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or data requests.
